Game info Vitality vs Outsiders

Team Vitality and Outsiders will compete this Tuesday, November 1, in Swiss round 3 of the IEM Rio Major 2022 Challengers Stage. After being blown away in the previous round against GamerLegion, the best in the world at Vitality will have one more chance to take two tournament wins against the Russian Outsiders and one small step away from the Legends Stage. As it is not considered a knockout or qualifying round, Swiss Round 3 1-1 (1 win and 1 loss) is played in MD1 (best of a map) format. The match is scheduled to take place at 14:00 UTC.

How IEM Rio Major 2022 works

In principle, the IEM Rio Major 2022 is a competition that will bring together all the best teams in the world in search of the most coveted title in CS:GO (Counter Strike Global Offensive), the Major. The tournament will start at the Challengers Stage. In this stage, the games take place in the Swiss format. That is, the winners face each other, and the losers also face each other. In the next phase, called Legends Stage, the Challengers Stage qualifiers join the 8 Legends teams of the competition, which were the teams that passed with the best placement in the RMR.

Finally, the last phase is called the Champions Stage, which works like a knockout. The eight best teams face each other until the tournament's grand champion is defined. All games in this phase will be in MD3 (best of three maps). The IEM Rio Major 2022 is US$1.250.000, which will be distributed to the best place: first place will receive US$500.000, second place will take home US$170.000, and third and fourth will with a prize pool of $80.000 each.

Vitality

At first, the Team Vitality team appears in this match after winning Swiss round 2 of the IEM Rio Major 2022 Challengers Stage against GamerLegion. Before analyzing the last round of the French organization, it is worth remembering how they performed in the debut of the Major. Facing Imperial in hell, they opened up a significant advantage on the counter-terrorist side (13×2), highlighting the great performance of "ZywOo." They had some problems closing the match in the second half but finished 16×9 on aggregate.

In the last match, they faced the Swedish organization GamerLegion on the vertigo map and suffered their first defeat. In the first half, they started losing even though they were on the favorable side of the map (counter-terrorist), where they found only six points. In the second half, they continued to show a lower level of play than their opponents and ended up losing 10×16 on aggregate.

Outsiders

On the other hand, the Outsiders team appears in this clash after winning the Swiss round 2 of the IEM Rio Major 2022 Challengers Stage against IHC Esports. Before analyzing the last round of the Brazilians, it is worth remembering how they performed in the debut of the Major. Facing MOUZ, they started on the terrorist side and failed to present such an efficient tactical part, losing by 6×9. However, the big problem came in the second half, where they couldn't win any more rounds and was submitted on aggregate by 6×16.

In the last match, they faced the Mongolian players from IHC Esports on the overpass map and confirmed favoritism without any major problems. In the first half, they opened up a good lead after starting by beating the counter-terrorist side by 9×6. They were again solid on the offensive side in the second half and managed to close the match by 16×12 on aggregate.
