Game info 00Nation x IHC Esports

00Nation and IHC Esports compete this Tuesday, November 1, in the Swiss round 3 of the IEM Rio Major 2022 Challengers Stage. After being run over in their first two rounds, the Brazilians will have their best chance of winning the first in the competition, facing the least technically qualified tournament team in this clash. As it is considered an elimination round, where both teams lost their first two rounds, the format played will be MD3 (best of three maps). The match is scheduled to take place at 16:30 UTC.

How IEM Rio Major 2022 works

In principle, the IEM Rio Major 2022 is a competition that will bring together all the best teams in the world in search of the most coveted title in CS:GO (Counter Strike Global Offensive), the Major. The tournament will start at the Challengers Stage. In this stage, the games take place in the Swiss format. That is, the winners face each other, and the losers also face each other. In the next phase, called Legends Stage, the Challengers Stage qualifiers join the 8 Legends teams of the competition, which were the teams that passed with the best placement in the RMR.

Finally, the last phase is called the Champions Stage, which works like a knockout. The eight best teams face each other until the tournament's grand champion is defined. All games in this phase will be in MD3 (best of three maps). The IEM Rio Major 2022 is US$1.250.000, which will be distributed to the best place: first place will receive US$500.000, second place will take home US$170.000, and third and fourth will with a prize pool of $80.000 each.

00Nation

First, the 00Nation team appears in this match after losing the Swiss round 2 of the IEM Rio Major 2022 Challengers Stage against Furia. Before analyzing the last round of the Brazilians, it is worth remembering how they performed in the debut of the Major. Facing Bad News Eagles on the vertigo map, they started on the terrorist side, where everything went wrong for the Brazilian team and started at a significant disadvantage (3×12). In the second half, they were even worse, losing the first round and unable to return in the duel, being submitted by 3×16.

In the last match, they faced their fellow compatriots from Furia on the mirage map and again failed to present a good level of play. In the first half, they were involved by the excellent tactical level of the best team in Brazil, which led to victory after beating the negative side of the mirage (terrorist) by 4×11. In the second half, their opponents just managed the vast advantage and closed in 6×16 on aggregate.

IHC Esports

On the other hand, the IHC Esports team appears in this clash after losing the Swiss round 2 of the IEM Rio Major 2022 Challengers Stage against Outsiders. Before analyzing the last round of the Mongols, it is worth remembering how they performed in the debut of the Major. Facing Evil Geniuses, they started with an excellent terrorist side, doing seven rounds even though they were on the negative side of a nuke (terrorist). However, they made a bad counter-terrorist half in the second half and ended up losing 9×16 on aggregate.

In the last match, they faced the Russian players from Outsiders on the overpass map, where they lost the second in a row. In the first half, they again made an excellent terrorist side, winning six rounds on the negative side of the map in the overpass. However, they also made a wrong defensive side again, leaving many gaps and being defeated by 12×16 on aggregate.
