I also participated, spent 2 days making a good looking illustration from sketch on a paper to digital and vector realisation. And won nothing. Not even a 10th place. Fair enough? I, for whatever reason thought the contests were judged by a mix of admin/judges and by group upvotes. But I guess I was way wrong on that thought.. I was really hoping to at least come in top 10 but I suppose next year I'll have something ready to get ranked. does anyone know the total count of entries? Ive lost many of competitions and I use those failures to help drive me to improve. Take it as a learning lesson look back only long enough to critique yourself in a positive way and then move forward. I've participated many design and illustration competitions, where only desingers with marvelous skills were involved, not just random people like here. And whenever I lost, I could see that guys that won, had fucking amazing artworks, x2 or x3 better than mine. And that's when you feel like it's fair and get tons of motivation to move on and improve your skills. But, have you seen my 2 entries? And have you seen who won as desinger here? That's a childish photoshop level (no hard feelings). What kind of "learning lesson" should I get from it, lol. To make shitty 3-minutes doodles?
